Itinerary Quick Look
We’re happy to tailor this private tour of Beijing to match your interests. Please note that Tian'anmen Square could be enforced martial law due to government activities temporarily, which we can NOT be informed in advance. So the tour guide may adjust the itinerary according to the situation.
Your tour guide will meet you in the hotel lobby as long as the hotel is within the Fourth Ring Road in Beijing. If your hotel is outside the Fourth Ring Road, or if you need to be picked up at the train station or airport, the guide can still meet you up, but there will be an additional charge.
Panda House (Beijing Zoo)
Beijing Zoo is especially renowned for its giant pandas, one of China’s national treasures and a symbol of wildlife conservation. The zoo has a dedicated Giant Panda Pavilion, which is a must-see attraction for visitors. The pavilion provides a spacious and naturalistic environment for the pandas, replicating their wild habitat with bamboo groves, rockeries, and pools. Visitors can observe these iconic animals up close as they eat, play, and rest, offering a rare opportunity to see giant pandas outside of their native Sichuan Province.
Beijing Zoo has played a significant role in the global effort to protect and breed giant pandas, contributing to the conservation and scientific research of this endangered species. The zoo’s breeding program has successfully raised several panda cubs, helping to sustain the population both in captivity and in the wild. As a symbol of China's commitment to wildlife preservation, the giant pandas at Beijing Zoo draw millions of visitors annually, making them the zoo's most popular and beloved attraction.
Tiananmen Square
Continue your journey with a visit to Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest public square and a must-see Beijing landmark. Take in the sight of iconic attractions such as the Monument to the People's Heroes, the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong, and the Great Hall of the People. For those interested in Chinese history, the square’s importance as a focal point for historical events, including the founding of the People’s Republic of China, makes it a significant stop on any Beijing city tour.
Forbidden City
From Tiananmen Square, walk directly to the Forbidden City, also known as the Palace Museum, an essential Beijing attraction and a UNESCO World Heritage site. This massive imperial complex, home to emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, boasts over 9,000 rooms filled with ancient Chinese architecture, imperial treasures, and vibrant cultural relics. On your guided tour, explore famous sites such as the Hall of Supreme Harmony, the Hall of Preserving Harmony, and the Imperial Garden.
