An English-speaking private driver will meet you in the hotel lobby, as long as the hotel is within the Fourth Ring Road in Beijing. If your hotel is outside the Fourth Ring Road, or if you need to be picked up at the train station or airport, the guide can still meet you up, but there will be an additional charge.

Longqing Gorge

Upon arrival, your English driver will assist you with purchasing tickets and cable car service (own expense), you can take a cable car up to the Longqing Gorge dam, where you’ll enjoy stunning views of the gorge and its emerald green waters. From there, embark on a leisurely boat ride through the narrow gorge, gliding past towering cliffs and picturesque rock formations. The boat ride is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the tranquility of this "natural wonder," as the winding river offers panoramic views of rocky peaks, hidden caves, and cascading waterfalls.

Guyaju Caves

After lunch (own expense), visit the fascinating Guyaju Caves, known as China’s largest ancient cave dwelling complex, located a short drive from Longqing Gorge. Carved over 1,000 years ago, this cliffside site features more than 140 rooms once used as homes, showcasing the ingenuity of its ancient builders. Wander through the unique chambers, some with multiple rooms and others nestled high in the cliffs, while enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. This hidden gem offers a peaceful and uncrowded experience, perfect for history and nature enthusiasts alike.

1. The driver will contact you the day before to confirm the meeting time and location.

2. In the self-guid trip, the driver will not accompany you up the Longqing Gorge or to the Guyaju Caves. The tickets are not included, while the driver can assist you in purchasing tickets, and the tickets fee will be at your own expense.

3. Please remember to bring your passport, as it is required for entry into certain attractions.

4. Wear comfortable walking shoes, as some parts of the tour involve moderate walking.

5. It’s a good idea to have some local currency (CNY) for small purchases, as not all places accept international credit cards.
