Your tour guide will meet you in the hotel lobby as long as the hotel is located within Chengdu's third ring road. If your hotel is outside this area, or if you need to be picked up at the train station or airport, the guide can still meet you, but an additional charge will apply.

Day 1: Giant Panda Breeding Research Base - Leshan Giant Buddha

Giant Panda Breeding Research Base

7:00 am: Meet your private guide and driver in your hotel lobby and transfer to the Chengdu Panda Breeding Center. Arrive early to enjoy the pandas at their most active before the crowds arrive.

The Panda Base is a beautifully designed garden featuring bamboo forests, swan lakes, and lush greenery, offering a tranquil and memorable experience.

Witness adorable panda cubs as they play, drink milk, munch on bamboo, and nap. Marvel at the energetic adolescent pandas, often referred to as “teenagers,” aged about three years, who live in spacious open enclosures.

In addition to the iconic giant pandas, you'll also encounter the charming red pandas. These rare creatures, part of the raccoon family, are known for their long, bushy tails and striking red fur.

Leshan Giant Buddha (Da Fo)

After your visit to the pandas, drive to Leshan, home to the majestic Leshan Giant Buddha.

Before visiting the Buddha, your guide will take you on a walk through Leshan's old quarter, allowing you to soak in the local culture and daily life. Lunch will be arranged at a time-honored restaurant where your guide will recommend authentic and representative local dishes (at your own expense).

After lunch, choose one of two options to experience the Leshan Giant Buddha:

Option 1: Hike through the Leshan Giant Buddha Heritage Park to get up close to this UNESCO World Heritage Site and enjoy sweeping views from different angles.

Option 2: Take a river cruise to appreciate the Buddha’s grandeur from a panoramic perspective on the water.

After exploring the Leshan Giant Buddha, relax in your private car as you're driven back to your hotel in Chengdu.

Day 2: Wuhou Shrine - Jinli Ancient Street - Kuanzhai Alley - People's Park

Wuhou Shrine

Begin your journey at Wuhou Shrine, a temple dedicated to Zhuge Liang, the esteemed chancellor of the Shu Han state during the Three Kingdoms period. The shrine houses statues of notable figures and offers insights into ancient Chinese history.

Jinli Ancient Street

Adjacent to Wuhou Shrine, Jinli Ancient Street is a bustling pedestrian area renowned for its traditional architecture, local crafts, and delectable Sichuan snacks. It's an ideal spot to savor authentic Chengdu cuisine for lunch (at your own expense).

Kuanzhai Alley

After lunch, explore Kuanzhai Alley, a historic district comprising three parallel alleys: Wide Alley (Kuan Xiangzi), Narrow Alley (Zhai Xiangzi), and Well Alley (Jing Xiangzi). This area beautifully blends ancient architecture with modern boutiques, teahouses, and art galleries, reflecting the essence of old Chengdu life.

People’s Park

Conclude your day at People's Park, a tranquil urban oasis where locals gather for leisure activities. Here, you can experience traditional tea culture at one of the park's teahouses, observe tai chi practitioners, or simply relax amidst the greenery.

Day 3: Mount Emei

Depart from Chengdu and drive to Emei Mountain Scenic Area (approx. 2-hour drive).

Explore Emei Mountain. You can take the Golden Summit Cableway to quickly reach the top and admire breathtaking views of the sea of clouds and the grand golden Buddha, or opt for a hike along the mountain trails to enjoy the natural scenery.

Enjoy lunch (at your own expense) at a restaurant at the foot of the mountain, sampling local specialties such as Emei tofu and steamed rice with cured meat.

Continue exploring mid-level attractions on Emei Mountain, including Qingyin Pavilion and Wannian Temple, where you can experience the tranquility and spirituality of the mountain.

Drive back to Chengdu, concluding your delightful three-day tour.
