A Dazzling March: World-Class Performances Illuminate Beijing’s Stages
In the radiant spring of March, the stages of the National Centre for the Performing Arts and the Beijing Arts Centre shine brightly with a stellar lineup of performances, painting a vivid artistic landscape. After 13 years, the world-renowned Hamburg Ballet returns to the stage of the National Centre for the Performing Arts, bringing A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a masterpiece by the legendary choreographer John Neumeier. Sarah Brightman will grace the Beijing Arts Centre in March with Sunset Boulevard, a classic by musical theatre maestro Andrew Lloyd Webber.
One of the pinnacles of classical music, the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, will present golden melodies with Classical and Romantic and The Sound of Spring Waltz. Legendary pianist Rudolf Buchbinder returns to the International Piano Series, while maestro András Schiff, along with his exclusive ensemble, the Cappella Andrea Barca, will present a heavyweight repertoire for Beijing audiences.
Acclaimed actor Wang Yaoqing, pianist Zhang Haochen, soprano Song Yuanming, and young pianist Ju Xiaofu will collaborate with the National Centre for the Performing Arts Orchestra in diverse performances.
