Important Layover Policy for Beijing Tours
When planning a layover tour in Beijing, it’s important to note that the duration of your layover plays a key role in whether or not you can leave the airport. According to airport regulations, if your layover is less than 8 hours, you will not be allowed to exit the airport, which means a tour cannot be arranged.
For example, let’s say your flight arrives in Beijing at 7:10 AM on flight CA980, and you are scheduled to depart at 1:25 PM on flight CA939. Since your layover is only 6 hours and 15 minutes, it does not meet the 8-hour minimum required to allow for a proper layover tour.
The 8-hour rule is in place to ensure that there is enough time for you to clear immigration, go through security checks, and have a relaxed, enjoyable experience during your tour, without the risk of missing your next flight. If your layover is shorter than this duration, unfortunately, the tour will not be feasible.
We recommend checking your layover duration before booking any tours, and if your layover is under 8 hours, we encourage you to explore other activities within the airport or relax in the lounges while you wait for your next flight.
