Itinerary Quick Look
We’re happy to tailor this private tour of Beijing to match your interests. Please note that the time frame is for reference only and may vary due to traffic conditions on the day of your tour.
Your tour guide will meet you in the hotel lobby as long as the hotel is within the Fourth Ring Road in Beijing. If your hotel is outside the Fourth Ring Road, or if you need to be picked up at the train station or airport, the guide can still meet you up, but there will be an additional charge.
Hutong Breakfast
Beijing offers a fantastic opportunity to explore authentic Chinese cuisine, yet many visitors stick to restaurants in tourist-heavy areas. This private tasting tour takes you beyond the typical dining spots and deep into the narrow, winding backstreets of Beijing’s charming Hutong neighborhoods for a traditional breakfast experience. With your guide, you’ll discover hidden local eateries and street food stalls, where you can savor a variety of traditional Chinese breakfast dishes. Delight in freshly made baozi (steamed buns filled with meat or vegetables), enjoy crispy and flavorful jianbing (savory Chinese crepes), taste smooth and comforting silken tofu, and indulge in sweet almond pudding. This immersive tour offers a true taste of local flavors in a historic setting, away from the tourist crowds.
On this tour, we’ll wake up early and explore the culinary scene with our trusted vendors and your bilingual guide. Over the course of three hours, you’ll eat your way through China’s 5,000 years of culinary history, try new foods and gain an appreciation for the artisans making these handmade treats.
Your tour finishes in the area where your guide departs. Your tour guide will assist you in taking a taxi to your hotel, but will not accompany you there.
