Day 1: Dali Ancient Town
Dali Ancient Town is one of China's top ten ancient towns and is well-preserved, with many local residents still living within its walls. Backed by the Cangshan Mountains and facing Erhai Lake, it enjoys warm and sunny weather, as if imbued with the gentleness of Cangshan. Strolling through the streets and alleys of the ancient town, one can truly feel the romance of Dali Ancient Town.
Day 2: Cangshan Hiking
Cangshan, the southern main peak of the Yunling Mountain Range, is composed of nineteen peaks stretching from north to south. It starts in Dengchuan, Eryuan in the north, and ends at the Xiaguan Tian Sheng Bridge in the south. The nineteen peaks of Cangshan are majestic and imposing, forming a striking contrast with the graceful scenery of Erhai Lake.
Hiking along the Yudai Road trail is a journey along the stone path midway up the mountain. Along the way, you can enjoy expansive views of Erhai Lake,
and sunlight filters through the gaps in the forest leaves, sparkling like fairy wings.
The Yudai Road hiking route offers two options:
1. Start at Zhonghe Cableway and descend via Gantong Cableway;
2. Start at Gantong Cableway and descend via Zhonghe Cableway.
Day 3: Xizhou Ancient Town-Erhai Lake
Named after "Xi" (Joy) and "Zhou" (Land), Xizhou is embraced by Erhai Lake to the east and Cangshan Mountain to the west. Its streets are paved with bluestone, its alleys quiet and winding, and its gray-tiled, white-walled buildings are arranged with perfect charm. Every brick, tile, plant, and tree in Xizhou tells a story.
•Yan Family Courtyard: A classic example of Bai ethnic architecture, hailed as the "masterpiece of Bai residential buildings."
•Zhuan Jiaolou (Corner Tower): Built in 1945, this is one of the most unique historical residences in Xizhou Ancient Town, distinguished by its structure and design.
•Rice and Wheat Fields: Verdant rice paddies and golden wheat fields sway gracefully in the breeze, painting a serene and vibrant landscape.
•Sifang Street: A lively area rich with the daily life and cultural essence of the Bai ethnic group.
Erhai Lake, its waters always full of life, dances with the wind, appearing like both a lake and a sea! Cycle along the lakeside, stop to capture its stunning beauty, and take a break at a nearby café when you're tired. Pure joy, pure bliss!
