Your tour guide will meet you in the hotel lobby as long as the hotel is located within downtown Kunming. If your hotel is outside this area, or if you need to be picked up at the train station or airport, the guide can still meet you up, but there will be an additional charge.
Day 1: Stone Forest-Jiuxiang Caves
The Stone Forest of Yunnan, also known as "The First Wonder Under Heaven," is a masterpiece of Karst landscape. Jiuxiang is renowned for its stunning karst cave landscapes, featuring caves within caves and rivers flowing through them, creating a world of wonder. Day 2: Western Hills Scenic Area-Yuantong Temple
When in Kunming, one must-visit destination is the stunning Western Hills. This paradise is filled with natural beauty and opportunities for exploration. Key attractions include Huating Temple, Taihua Temple, Sanqing Pavilion, Dragon Gate, Nie Er’s Tomb, as well as renowned sites at the foot of the mountain, such as Puxian Temple and Yang Sheng’an Memorial.
Yuantong Temple, with a history of over 1,200 years, is the largest surviving Buddhist temple in the Dianchi Lake region and one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Yunnan. It not only integrates the essence of the three major schools of Buddhism but also attracts countless visitors with its magnificent architecture and rich cultural heritage.
