Itinerary Quick Look
We’re happy to tailor this private tour of Beijing to match your interests. Please note that the time frame is for reference only and may vary due to traffic conditions on the day of your tour.
Your tour guide will meet you in the hotel lobby as long as the hotel is within the Fourth Ring Road in Beijing. If your hotel is outside the Fourth Ring Road, or if you need to be picked up at the train station or airport, the guide can still meet you up, but there will be an additional charge.
Day 1 -Temple of Heaven -Tiananmen Square - Forbidden City
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel by a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle and begin your exploration of Beijing’s historical landmarks with a visit to the Temple of Heaven.
In the afternoon, continue to Tiananmen Square, the largest city square in the world. Here, you will see the iconic Tiananmen Gate, where Chairman Mao announced the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949. This site holds great political and historical significance.
Next, step into one of the world’s most important palace complexes — the Forbidden City (also known as the Palace Museum). This UNESCO World Heritage Site features over 9,000 rooms and served as the imperial residence for 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. As you walk through its grand halls and courtyards, you will admire the magnificent architecture, with its yellow glazed tile roofs, white marble foundations, and beautifully preserved decorative paintings that reflect the splendor of ancient China.

Day 2 - Mutianyu Great Wall - Summer Palace
After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the best-preserved and less crowded sections of the Great Wall.
Upon arrival, you may choose to take the cable car up to the Wall, where you will have time to walk along the ancient ramparts, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views, and take memorable photos. The Mutianyu section is famous for its beautiful scenery and well-restored watchtowers. For a fun and unique experience, you can also choose to descend by toboggan (optional).
After your visit, enjoy a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant before returning to the city.
In the afternoon, continue your tour with a visit to the Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved imperial garden in China. Stroll along Kunming Lake and the Long Corridor, admire the elegant pavilions, bridges, and temples, and learn about the history of this royal retreat used by emperors of the Qing Dynasty.
After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
We hope this itinerary offers you a perfect balance of history, culture, and scenic beauty.
